What is a VGA to Component Video cable?
VGA (Video Graphics Array) is a standard RGB input found on many displays or projectors. VGA is carried on an HD15 connector. VGA signals are normally RGBHV, but sometimes carry component YPbPr signals. Because the VGA signal is an analog RGBHV, a VGA Break-Away cable can be used to connect VGA equipped sources (or displays) to component-equipped displays (or sources). A VGA Break-Away cable has an HD-15 connector on one end and five coaxial BNC or RCA connectors on the other.
