The Suwannee bass is often compared to a cross between a Smallmouth and Spotted bass. To say the least it is mean! A two pound Suwannee bass is compared to a ten pound largemouth! The world record Suwannee Bass weighed 4.13 pounds, but there have been numerous reports of folks that have caught Suwannee’s larger than the current record, yet the record weight was unbeknownst to them and I would have to assume that these fish were either released or made into table fare.
