What is a Skill Voucher?
This is a revolutionary concept introduced by Gujarat Government to empower the real stake holder ie the candidate in the real sense. • The “Skill Voucher” is a sort of prepaid voucher that can be bought by any one from GSDM after paying the value of the same.Have a look at the format of the voucher. • These skill vouchers will be numbered , be issued in the name of the candidate and can be used only for getting training for a specified list of NCVT / GCVT courses (around 1252 in numbers) at any of the eligible institutes (around 200 – 400 in numbers). • After training the candidate will be assessed by one allocated assessment agency empanelled by NCVT . If the candidate passes the test the institute would be paid the training fees by GSDM and if the candidate fails in the assessment test the money is returned back to the funding agency.
