Wanda – Do you have kids that skateboard or rollerblade? If so, they might be interested in this. A skate park is a place for skateboarding, roller blading (& sometimes biking). It has ramps and jumps of varying sizes and difficulties. Some have “bowls”, which are kind of like a big empty swimming pool to ride in. They also have grind rails and fun boxes, which are flat wooden boxes with metal around the edges to slide across on your skateboard or roller blades. The different parks have different configurations of ramps, jumps, bowls, rails, boxes, etc. so that no two are just alike. We’ve been to outdoor parks, some indoor ones which were not air-conditioned and hot as blazes. Some are rather trashy looking… The two indoor parks we found in Pensacola were really nice by comparison to some we’ve seen. They were clean, well-maintained and well run.
