What is a self-directed course?
You can control the pace at which you learn any given subject that is listed as being self-directed. These courses range between 1 and 6 weeks (on average). Self-study courses are usually listed in our catalog as being Lite. In some cases, students may have limited contact with an instructor. We offer some of our self-directed courses in ebook, CD, and streaming audio and video formats. Self-assessment, projects and other measures are used by the student to determine how they are progressing and learning the material. Self-directed courses are outcome based, meaning that every assignment and associated activity will lead to some expected outcomes that will advance your knowledge and expertise.
