A retailer is a public dealer / outlet that will sell to anyone. Examples include: Guitar Center & Musicians Friend. These companies buy direct from the manufacturer most of the time in mass quantities. The larger retail powerhouse companies also buy direct OEM from the over seas manufacturer as well. Wholesale distributors primarily supply the independent dealer or smaller over all dealers.
