What is a refund and when are they issued?
• A refund is any excess funds that a student has on their account once all applicable fees have been charged. This can also be expressed as the difference between what has been credited (paid) and the amount that was owed (cost of attending DSU). Refunds are usually issued about a month and a half after the first day of school. The reason for this is because of the fact that the student loans, grants, and scholarship do not start coming in to the University until after the student has been in attendance thirty days into the semester.
