What is a push-to-talk (PTT) channel?
A. A PTT channel, also referred to as a channel, is a communications path that allows users to communicate with each other. In Cisco IPICS, a channel defines and describes the specific content stream of the channel regardless of the source of that content. PTT channels appear on the PMC and on Cisco Unified IP Phones. For more information about the PMC, refer to the Cisco IPICS PMC Installation and User Guide, Release 2.1(1).
