Partners are organizations or individuals who share the costs of the project through cash or in-kind contributions. Partners enhance diversity, broaden expertise, maximize the potential impact of the project, and enhance project capacity. All Education Savings Community Outreach projects must be partnership-based to be considered for funding. The roles, responsibilities and financial contributions (cash or in-kind) of partners must be clearly identified (e.g. letters of support specific to proposed project activities). Existing business relationships, organizational affiliations, and/or generic letters of support to the applicant do not, in and of themselves, constitute partnerships under the Education Savings Community Outreach Call for Proposals – 2007. Organizations that do not contribute financially or in-kind directly to project activities are not considered partners under Education Savings Community Outreach, but rather may be considered stakeholders.
