What is a packing slip?
A packing slip is the information page that travels with your shipment to the border and it contains all pertinent data to your shipment including the return address (shipper address), destination address, and tracking information for your shipment that is used by Estafeta to route your shipment correctly. Estafeta calls this by its Spanish word: ‘Guia’. You must provide the following for the destination on your guia packing slip: • Destination Person Name (two last names is normal in Mexico) • Company (if applicable) • Company department, division or area (if applicable) • Full address: · Street & street number · Apartment, office or suite number · City district (colonía/manzana/fraccionamiento) · City, municipal district or township · State · CP (codigo postal) code, i.e. zip code, (five digits) • Telephone local number with lada (3 digit area code equivalent) – ten digits total.
Packing slips can be substituted for an invoice or sales receipt. When making a purchase over the phone or online, you receive the package and packing slip through a delivery service. The packing slip must include your bill to and ship to address, where and when the item was purchased, what was purchased as well as the purchase date. All information must meet the requirements as stated in the terms and conditions of the rebate offer.
