What is a Math Rubric?
Mr. OBrien’s Math Rubric – The following is a basic rubric score and defintion for numbered grades on math assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects. 4 Mathematician You fully understand the mathematical ideas. Your work shows clear thinking, using some combination of writing and visuals (such as diagrams, tables, graphs, pictures, etc). You have mastered the objective. You have gone above and beyond the expectations required. 3 Math Proficient You fully understand the mathematical ideas. Your recorded work in large part shows what youre thinking (some writing, maybe a diagram). More detail or a clearer description is needed for a 4 paper. You have met the objective. 2 Math Apprentice You do not completely understand the central mathematical idea. Your recorded work may be incomplete or not clearly presented.
