What is a Fitness Assessment?

A Fitness Assessment is our way of base lining your fitness level and then showing you scientific proof of your progress towards your fitness goal. It is an excellent time to evaluate your goals and likely make new ones. The Fitness Assessment can be done in about 45 minutes (the same duration as our Personal Training sessions). The Assessment will give you and your trainer your fitness status in these categories: Body Composition (how much body fat vs. lean body mass you currently have), Body Circumference measurements in key areas, Cardiovascular Endurance, Muscle Strength and Endurance and Flexibility. This is a private session and results are shared only with you and the FT Personal Trainers with whom you train. You are provided a full-color printout of your Fitness Assessment which will help you track your progress (and help you brag to your friends, family or doctor if you choose!

Fitness Assessments Choosing to perform a fitness assessment is completely optional. It is highly encouraged for all WOW participants. Fitness assessments take no longer than 30 minutes and they provide a reliable prediction of the client’s current fitness level. We will test components of fitness such as blood pressure, weight, body fat, aerobic fitness, flexibility, and strength. We can then compare your results from the pre-fitness assessment to the post-fitness assessment that will be taken at the end of the program. This is a great way to track a client’s improvement. Participants do not have to measure all components of fitness. They may choose to only measure several if they desire. All fitness assessments will be scheduled prior to the program or after the participant has registered for the program. WOW informational meeting (date: TBA) The informational meeting is held for all Women On Weights participants prior to the start of the program.
