What is a duvet and shams?
A. Duvets are decorative and protective covers for your comforters and also called comforter covers. It can be a bit confusing as comforters are called duvets in Europe. Duvets are somewhat like a large pillow case and typically come with button closures. Ours come with a traditional button, European closure style but we use Tagua nut buttons. Using a duvet is also a great way to add color and design elements to your room. We recommend using a duvet with your comforter to protect it and extend the life of the fabric and product. Not only does a duvet add longer life to your comforter, but helps to keep out dust, dirt and other allergy irritants. Shams are the decorative pillow case covers that compliment the duvet.
