What is a dipole speaker?
A dipole speaker is a single speaker cabinet that contains two baffles, usually offset by 45 degrees or more. In the case of a dipole speaker, the two drivers are out of phase. This means that the sound will be difficult to localize and may seem to come from many different directions. Dipole speakers are ideal for surround sound application.
