What is a Digital Video Recorder (DVR)?
A. A digital video recorder is our generation’s answer to the VCR. A DVR performs many of the same functions as does TiVo®. Not only does it record television, but it makes it possible for you to watch one program while recording another (as in: DVR’s with dual capacity). With a DVR, we can now pause and rewind broadcasts and even better still – sitting through advertisements has become a problem of the past.
DISH DVR is an integrated satellite TV receiver and Digital Video Recorder. The DISH DVR receiver contains a huge internal hard drive that can record up to 100 hours without videotape. It lets you pause and replay any show — even live TV! — skip recorded commercials and create slow motion effects.
