What is a current event issue that has to do with global warming?
global warming is the increase in the world temperature due to the increase in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. A good issue to start with is the increase in storms (i.e. Hurricane Katrina, the largest tornado ever recorded in Hallam, NE, the first hurricane to hit Hawaii in 20 years, etc.) since global warming first became an issue around 10 years ago. Nobody is really “for” or “against” global warming. There are people that believe it exists (scientist and intellectuals), and people that don’t (right-wing politicians that are backed up by special interest groups causing global warming, most notably are oil companies). If you want names: Dick Cheney, George Bush, Haliburton, Exxon Mobil, and anybody stupid enough to not pay attention to facts.
