What Is a Corinthian Column?
The ancient and classical Greeks made some of their most astonishing contributions to successive societies and cultures in the field of architecture. Divided into three orders, Doric, Ionic and Corinthian, each architectural order has a specific column associated with it, which makes it easy to differentiate among the three. The Corinthian order is the newest and most elaborate of the three, and this is typified by the Corinthian column.
