What is a Certifying Partner?
A Certifying Partner is an organization that has committed to working in partnership with AHRE towards improving health and safety for Alberta workers. Certifying Partners provide training, review audits and issue CORs to employers whose audits meet quality assurance standards. For a list of Certifying Partners, please refer to the link below.
Certifying Partners are typically safety associations recognized by WorkSafeBC as having in-depth industry knowledge used to promote and develop workplace health and safety. Employers in different industries will have different Certifying Partners. Once an employer registers with a Certifying Partner, the Certifying Partner guides the employer to implement an effective health and safety management system, and helps the employer complete and pass a qualifying audit.
A Certifying Partner (CP) is a safety association recognized by WorkSafeBC as having in-depth industry knowledge used to promote and develop workplace health and safety. The CP helps the employer to implement an effective health and safety management system. The CP also aids the employer in completing and passing an audit.
Employment, Immigration and Industry enters into formal partnerships with organizations who wish to take a leadership role in the promotion and development of workplace health and safety in Alberta. A Certifying Partner is recognized by Employment, Immigration and Industry as an organization having the ability to assess health and safety audits for quality and to jointly issue Certificates of Recognition to employers. The certifying partner for hotels (WCB industry code 87503) is the Albert Hotel Safety Association. The AHSA also assists restaurants to obtain their COR.
