What Is A Casting Card?
Casting Cards: A casting card is a model’s personal business card. Casting directors do not allow any model or actor to audition for any job without them. Professional models leave a casting card at all auditions that they attend. Cards are required at all professional castings, including all auditions listed on the Casting Board. Be sure to have a current phone number on your card so that the casting director can reach you during daytime work hours. Models may also submit casting cards through the mail to be included in auditions that you cannot attend in person. Living in a remote area, or being confined to school or job commitments no longer hinders models and actors who want to participate in national castings. Your casting cards will allow you to audition anywhere in the country, while you continue to live and work in your local community.
