WHAT IS A BRAILLE EMBOSSER?
Simply put, a braille embosser is a braille printer. It embosses braille onto paper via code sent to it by a braille translation software program. Some embossers can emboss to both sides of a page, while others can only emboss on one side. Embossers commonly used by private individuals and non-commercial production centers emboss at a rate of 15 to 60 characters per second, (CPS). The cost ranges from approximately $1,800.00 to $4,100.00.
