What if a student does not start college when originally planned or goes to college part time?
Funds may be withdrawn from an account at any time. It doesn’t matter if the student (beneficiary) does not start college when originally expected or enrolls in college part time. The student must be enrolled at least half-time for any portion of room and board expenses to be considered a qualified higher education expense.
