Except for the jackpot (and the Match 5 BONUS prize whenever it is in effect), all unclaimed prizes are kept by the lottery jurisdiction that has the unclaimed winner. The jackpot money and BONUS prize pool are treated differently. If these two prize pools are unclaimed, the money must be returned back to all lotteries, in proportion to their sales for the draw run. The lotteries then distribute the money as they are required by law.
