What happens to a Domus PVC-U window in a fire?
PVC-U does not combust like many building materials. It can burn if completely surrounded by flames, but, the PVC-U will self-extinguish as soon as the flames are removed. In fact, PVC-U has a higher ignition temperature, lower flame spread, and releases less heat in a fire than wood. Plus, smoke produced by burning PVC-U is similar to that of most organic materials.
