What happens if an “infected” system does get on the network?

The validation process can only be sure users have the latest fixes and tools at their disposal but we can’t prevent all infections. Many viruses and most spyware are gotten by the user’s actions and we don’t control this. But if an “infected” system that is harmful to the network makes it’s way on the network, it would be quarantined until fixed.
