What happens at an HSIRB meeting?
If your protocol requires full board review, you will receive written notification of the meeting date, time, and location. You will not need to be present for the entire meeting. Investigators are scheduled at 20 minute intervals. During those 20 minutes, your protocol will be discussed in detail. You should be prepared to respond to questions from individual Board members. Aspects of the federal regulations may be discussed as they impact your protocol. Following the meeting, you will receive written notification of the requested revisions.
