3M™ Colorquartz™ Crystals are formulated with stable inorganic pigments — the same kind of pigments used to give permanent color to ceramic tile. A proprietary ceramic-coating process is used to permanently bond color pigments to the quartz. The result is bright, consistent, long-lasting color, unaffected by harsh pool chemicals, low pH or sunlight. Tinted plaster, in comparison, provides limited color options and often fades over time.
