What exactly is Fosamax?
Fosamax’s main component is called Alendronate, a class of medications called bisphosphonate, which decrease the activity of cells that break down bone, while increasing the bone mass itself thereby increasing the amount of bone in your body… in doing so decreasing your risk of fractures. I was also told by my doctor that in just 3 months after you start this therapy reversal effects can start but you can’t really see any results until after a year, sometimes two years when you have your next bone density tests… So that’s were I am now…6 months down the line. I have to wait another 6 months before I can have another test. How is it taken?
