There are two main issues to consider when thinking about biometric device and handheld computer configuration and fulfillment: • Inventory management and tracking. • Device software loading, configuration, and testing before shipment to insure that the device has the right software on it, that it functions according to the patients health protocol requirements, and testing it before packing and shipping to insure that it will work for the customer “right out of the box” so they are not frustrated with “too much technology.” TransViva actually serves two separate groups of users: the subscribing healthcare organization and their patient population. We seek to make our service as reliable and easy-to-use as possible for people whose main concern is getting accurate health data and not playing “technician” with a new computer. TransViva wants the patients health data collection to be as easy as using the telephone.
