What does the term “course section” mean and how does it apply to me as an instructor or designer?
Blackboard Vista makes an important distinction between courses and sections. A course can be thought of as an environment where content has been developed and organized to meet a particular set of learning objectives. A section contains the same content, but the section is the environment that students are granted access to so they can interact with the content and the instructor. The section is the environment where teaching and learning take place. In the UAB Academic Institute, instructors and designers will be given access at the section level.
