What does the Deauthenticate menu do?
Deauthentication packets are sent from access points in order to tell clients that they are no longer available for service. KisMAC offers a feature to spoof these packets and cause everyone to probe for the access point with the SSID of the access point in the probe request. This is a very effective way to reveal SSIDs of hidden networks or collect WPA handshakes. See the additional information section for more info. Note: Some access points might recognize this attack and try to switch their frequency.
