What does the bursary cover?
This is one of the most often-asked questions. The bursary will cover the cost of student accommodation from the first evening of the program to noon on the last day of the program. In addition students will receive a meal allocation of $13 per day. Classes and course materials are included as are the cost of all compulsory activities (except for bus fares). Some optional activities are subsidized (this means UBC is paying some of the cost involved to encourage students to participate) while some are not. Students must realize that the cost of transportation in Vancouver is not included (except for the Welcome Cruise). Off-campus activities are usually organized so that students can stay downtown after the activity and enjoy the city.
