Subliminal refers to something that is seen so quickly or heard so quietly that you do not realize you have heard it or seen it, but your conscience has. Supposedly, old time movie theaters use to pop out a milli-second picture of a popcorn, hotdog or soda onto the movie screen so that the viewers would suddenly get a “hankering” for a popcorn, hotdog, or soda. The viewer didn’t realize they had seen the picture because it appeared and disappeared so quickly. All they knew was they have a craving!
