What Does Styptic Mean?
A styptic also known as a haemostatic pencil basically is a small stick of medication, created from aluminium sulfate anhydrous, and is used for stop blood by causing blood vessels to bond at spot of the wound. Prior to safety razors being created, the styptic pencil was a vital component of the shaving kit and was often applied to seal cuts caused due to improper shaving, but still quiet a few people continue to use safety razors along with styptic pencils. Styptic pencils also come in handy for booking the blood flow while trimming a cat or a dog’s claws. Though it is an effective at blocking blood loss, the tingle of the medication as it takes effect is said to turn the wound worse than the pain or the cut itself.
