What does Simulate Trip do?
A3. A simulation is a preview of the route that would be used for navigation. You can run a simulation to familiarize yourself with a route before departing. Running a simulation is also useful if you anticipate taking a long trip through an area with low or no cellular data coverage, because the map tiles downloaded during the simulation will be stored by MotionX-GPS Drive for future use. Although we preload maps along your route as you drive, you may want to run a simulation first if you will be in a dead zone for a particularly long time. We recommend choosing the 2x simulation speed on the Setup page so that all the map tiles have enough time to download to your device.
