What does PUSH mean?
When you want to download a file from a firewalled host a push request is send through the Gnutella network to that host because it does not accept direct connections. When this host receives the request it opens a connection to your computer and uploads the file. Of course, this feature of the Gnutella network only works if you are not behind a firewall either and set up the correct IP address.
