What does open and enclosed carrier mean?
An open carrier is the most common type of auto transport used on the roads. Open carriers range from a 1-car carrier to a two level 10-car carrier. Using an open carrier means that your vehicle is visible and generally not protected from the weather, rock chips, etc. An enclosed carrier has a full top and sides which keep vehicles out of the inclement weather and other damage hazards during transport. Enclosed carriers provide the greatest level of protection available for vehicles, and it is the recommended transport for exotic, antique/vintage and customized vehicles.
