What does high resolution mean?
High resolution is a camera that will produce more than 480 lines. “Resolution” or “Lines of Resolution” measures the camera’s ability to reproduce an image. The higher the resolution number, the better the picture quality. Our cameras range from 380 to 600 lines. The vast majority of people cannot distinguish between 380 and 480 lines of resolution due to the fact that most VCRs and TVs can only output between 350 and 400 lines. Every camera manufacturer uses their own method of determining what “Resolution” their cameras are. Many of our color hidden cameras may only advertise 380 lines, but in actuality will compare to 420 line cameras of other manufacturers. We provide many sample pictures across the website so our customers can get a better feel as to what our cameras will actually do.
