What does ENIAC offer?
ENIAC offers: A common vision and consistent reference framework for R&D and infrastructure initiatives, to coordinate EU, national and private R&D investment and to improve effectiveness A way to accelerate generation of new knowledge, innovation and uptake of research and technologies, through cooperation; An incentive to remove obstacles at EU, national and regional levels for co-ordination and to facilitate and accelerate market penetration of new technologies; A balance between innovative and policy-oriented research, while contributing to aligning R&D with European policies and regulatory frameworks; An increased attractiveness of the EU for researchers and industrial investment; and An increased attention to promote public awareness, understanding and acceptance of technologies concerned and research policy choices necessary to maximise the benefits for all.
