What does dropship mean?
I drop ship a lot in my line of work. You order from me, I then place your order with a third party, and they ship directly to you. It’s easier for me to do this way because all I have to do is make sure I forward the address on the order correctly, and I don’t have to worry about reshipping from my office.
It is when a company orders something, but wants it delivered to a place different then their business address. They are charged for the order, but another party receives the merchandise. Its a great way to do business. I used to work in sales, and we had many government agencies want us to drop ship our product to certain locations throughout the country. It provides a service of convenience to the customer, not to mention saving them the trouble and cost of shipping the goods to their client, after they have paid to have it shipped to them.
