What do people in Mexico wear?

They wear traditional headdresses, NOT! They wear what people here wear!

Normal clothes like you and I do. Some of the indigenous people (esp. Southern Mexico) wear white clothes with brightly colored embroidery. Some other indigenous people wear clothing typical of their region. I didn’t see any of those goofy sombreros except in Santa Clara on Sunday morning and at the markets. Some used them to hold and sell bread. Most Mexicans don’t wear them.

Most wear typical western-style clothing such as people wear in the United States and Europe. Some of the indigenous people still wear traditional clothing, such as the white shirts and pants of the Mayan men.

I was going to say clothes, but Hurrican beat me to it. In the larger cities and better neighborhoods you will see similar clothes to what you would see in Paris, Madrid, or Rome. The new Mexican middle class like to show off their money and like to wear designer labels. You will also see many many people who paid a lot of money for clothes that just do not look good; on them anyway. The lower middle class and some of the more successful working class wear the sort of things that can be found at Walmart, K-Mart and lower quality stores. There is a lot of polyesther and rayon out there. The working poor and unemployed wear pretty much anything they can get; often in the category of what one might consider rags. Different native ethnic groups wear various “traditional” costumes sometimes which are made of various fabrics, from cotton to cheap synthetics. Middle class and aspiring middle class Mexican women love high heeled shoes. Ladies boots of all styles are very much in. Tight, reveal
