What do book keepers do?
Book Keepers keep books, ledgers, accounting documents. Book keepers may are maynot be degreed accounts. Book keepers traditionaly keep a companies accounting records, i.e. journals and ledgers. In addition, they may handle functions such A/R, A/P, taxes, inventory, assets, etc. depending on the size of the company. In general the larger the company the more specific the book keepers duties. In smaller companies book keeper functions tend to encompass more duties.
