What did Christopher Columbus contributed?
One of my arguments defending Columbus and giving him the title of discoverer of the Americas is that he began the era of colonization. After Columbus´ voyages, other European Nations began to explore this land and this made it a high point In European History. Nations started getting rich and powerful, mostly Spain because they were the first to arrive and colonize. He began the era of trading, establishing, and gaining lands.
