What courses are transferable?

Most arts & science courses from your diploma or associate’s degree are transferable. Physical education courses are one exception and there are a few others. We are happy to review your transcripts and let you know exactly how many credits (up to the 64 needed) you already have. If you have a baccalaureate in a non-nursing field, 64 credits are granted automatically. We accept the (self-study)CLEP challenge exams for arts and sciences (for info on the CLEP, go to www.collegeboard.org). We also grant 32 additional credits for your prior nursing coursework from any accredited nursing program (diploma or associate’s), leaving only 32 credits that must be completed at UR .
