The downloadable version of AIDA was primarily designed for IBM compatible personal computers (PCs). However it has become apparent that this ‘PC’ version of AIDA will also work on Apple Macintosh computers, provided they are running PC / Windows emulation software. For more information, check out the AIDA Apple Mac Web page at this site. AIDA has been tested quite extensively with both SoftWindows and VirtualPC – and works quite well on Apple Macs running these emulators. ‘AIDA on-line’ @ http://www.2aida.net is a Web-based application which works independently of the local computer. Therefore ‘AIDA on-line’ can be accessed from PCs, Apple Macs, Unix machines, NT servers, etc, etc. The only requirements are that the local machine should have an Internet connection and a graphical display. With these it should be possible to run diabetes simulations using ‘AIDA on-line’ from any machine, anywhere. In fact one does not even need a computer to access ‘AIDA on-line’. Reports have been rec
