The WCT Trials is a pre-event contest where a small selection of invitees battle it our for seeds in the WCT event. The Trials typically occur one day before, or on the morning of, the WCT event. The general format of the trials is three heats consisting of four surfers each, with the winner of each heat awarded entry to the WCT event.
