What are the types of OS License?
There are 3 types of OS license. Plan, Design and Build PDB, Internal Business Use License IBU and Paper Map Copying License PMCL. The first two are licences when purchasing your maps in Digital Export format. Plan, Design and Build License PDB This license is aimed for project managers who need the license to run for a complete build project and can be purchased for 12months, 18 months, 24 months or 30 months. Once the license has expired the PDB license allows you to archive a copy of the data for up to 13 years for professional indemnity purposes. Data supplied under this can be shared with up to 40 contractors without the contractors needing to sign additional licences. Internal Business Use License IBU This license is suited for day to day business within an organisation. This license is for a 12 month period only. Following the 12 month period all digital copies of this data should be deleted. Below is a guide for choosing the export license most suitable for your needs.
