What are the results of the EU-ACP SIA?
The SIA of the EU-ACP EPAs has yielded several conclusions and recommendations for negotiators and other stakeholders that can help ensure that the EPAs promote development that supports economic, social and environmental sustainability. Twelve recommendations are highlighted. They reflect the body of work that has been undertaken through case studies in key sectors (one in each of the ACP regions represented in the negotiations), which included extensive consultation with negotiators, experts, and relevant stakeholders in civil society in the EU and in the ACP regions. They are considered to be broadly relevant for the diverse regions and countries of the ACP.
