What are the requirements for authorization for field placement?
Authorization to place candidates in Washington schools requires institutions to meet the requirements in WAC 181.78A.132 which include annual reporting and: verification of regional accreditation and state program approval; program need related to geographic location or nature of program offered; assurance that candidates will have learning opportunities rooted in Washington state student learning standards; established field placement agreements; and notification to PESB of any changes in status to the requirements outlined in the referenced WAC.
