In order to qualify for entrance into the NCTI paramedic program, you must: 1) be at least 18 years of age 2) possess a current County-issued EMT-Basic card 3)possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent 4) turn in a complete paramedic application packet 5) receive a passing score on the HOBET entrance exam 6) complete either NCTIs Anatomy & Physiology course or an NCTI approved Anatomy & Physiology class within the last five years. NCTI offers Anatomy & Physiology before every Paramedic Program begins. Students do not need to have this completed before taking the entrance exam. **Although not mandated, it is highly desirable that paramedic students have at least 6-12 months experience as an EMT-Basic before they begin paramedic school.
