Books that become overdue will incur charges as follows: Standard loan items (4 week loan for students, 8 week loan for staff) will be 20p per item per day to a maximum of £5. Short loan items ( 1 week loan) 50p per item per day to a maximum of £5.

Overdue charges for books at Wayland are $.10/day after a 3-day grace period. Videos and Express books are $.25/day with no grace period. Materials from other MLN libraries are subject to their overdue charges.

Late charges (overdue fines) are charged by material type, not by library card. For example childrens’ books will be charged at the child rate and adult and teen books will be charged at the adult rate. This applies to books only.
